Customer requirements
This case study focuses on the importance of Air Conditioning in Vets Practises and Clinics. Animals are particularly sensitive to changes in temperature, humidity, and air quality, making precise environmental control and effective ventilation critical to maintain a safe and hygenic environment within veterinary facilities.
Modern air conditioning systems can incorporate advanced air purification technologies designed to mitigate airborne viruses, bacteria, mould spores, hazardous particulates, and odours. Effective ventilation combined with improved indoor air quality helps reduce the transmission of disease, supporting higher hygiene standards and minimising health risks to both humans and animals.
Most veterinary practices include a dispensary for the storage of medicines. While certain pharmaceuticals require refrigeration, others must be stored at controlled ambient temperatures, typically below 24 °C. Accurate and consistent temperature control across multiple zones and rooms within the practice is therefore essential to ensure proper medication storage and compliance with handling requirements.
“From start to finish, the service was excellent. The engineers were friendly, knowledgeable, and very respectful of our busy veterinary practice. They worked efficiently around consultations and ensured everything was left clean and tidy. The new air conditioning has made a huge difference for both staff and animals, and we’re extremely happy with the result. Thank you so much to the team at Domestic Air”
How We Delivered
After careful consideration we decided to go with 2 Panasonic Ceilling Cassettes with hard wired controllers for each operating room and a Panasonic TZ for the medication room. The Panasonic systems have an integrated nanoe™ X air purification technology, nanoe™ X is an ideal solution for ventilation and temperature control in veterinary practises helping to combat bad smells, tackle airborne viruses and bacteria and improve animals comfort reducing the heat in the warmer months
The air conditioning system was installed while working within a fully operational veterinary practice. Maintaining a comfortable environment for staff, clients, and animals remained a key priority throughout the project.
Restricted internal and external space added complexity to the delivery and installation of the units, requiring detailed planning to ensure the works were completed efficiently while keeping disruption to day-to-day operations to a minimum.
Panasonic Nanoe™ X
nanoe™ X, the original ionizer to generate “nano-sized atomized water particles” is developed by Panasonic. It is an electrostatic atomization technology, that collects invisible moisture in the air and applies high voltage to it to produce “hydroxyl radicals contained in water”. The decisive factor is the existence of hydroxyl radicals inside nanoe™ X.
The water particles contain huge quantity of hydroxyl radicals. They are highly reactive molecules that react easily on a variety of substances, deodorizing and inhibiting viruses and bacteria.
Hydroxyls radicals are generally described as easily denatured through their binding to various substances in the air and very short lived.
However, it was verified that”hydroxyl radicals contained in water” have a long life because they are contained in water and this makes their effects far-reaching.
Panasonic’s “hydroxyl radicals contained in water” has been researched and developed for more than 20 years, establishing its brand name as “nanoe™ X”.
nanoe™ X actively fills the entire room and goes beyond the filter to inhibit adhered and airborne pollutants.
The safety of nanoe™ X has been tested in laboratories and institutions.
